π§ Zoning By-Law Update π
π A Public Open House was held in November 2024 to share the proposed changes and gain community feedback on the new zoning by-law
β’ The process of updating the by-law began in spring 2024, with the help of HTFC Planning and Design.
β’ Following Councilβs first reading in December 2024, the by-law has been reviewed by the province
π
A Public Hearing regarding the new zoning by-law will be held Monday, June 23. This is an opportunity for any persons to make representations.
The zoning by-law is a 125 page document that regulates how land and buildings can be used and developed. It divides the community into various zones - residential, commercial, industrial, etc, and sets specific rules for each zone. These rules can include what types of buildings are allowed, how tall they can be, how far they must be set back from property lines, and other standards like parking, fencing, and signage.
